Everything people commonly ask about today's gold price — general, by purity, by city, and market rate.
General
Today's gold rate for 24K (999 and 995 purity), 22K (916 purity), 18K (750 purity) and 14K (585 purity), per gram, is shown live at the top of this page and updates automatically from IBJA every few minutes.
"Rate of gold today" and "gold rate today" refer to the same thing: the current per-gram price by purity, shown live in the rates section above and refreshed every 5 minutes from IBJA.
Each rate card above shows a green up arrow if today's gold rate increased versus yesterday's close, a red down arrow if it decreased, or "unchanged" if it stayed the same, along with the exact rupee and percentage change.
The gold rate on this page refreshes automatically every 5 minutes, sourced live from IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association), so you always see today's latest rate without reloading.
By Purity & Weight
The 22 carat / 22K (916 purity) gold rate today per gram is shown in the "Current Gold Rates" section above, along with the change versus yesterday's closing rate.
The 24 carat gold rate today (999 and 995 purity) per gram is shown in the live rates section above and updates automatically every few minutes.

By City
The base IBJA gold rate shown here is a national benchmark and is the same across cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Patna and Kerala. Local jewellers may add making charges and GST on top, which is why final showroom prices can vary slightly by city.
Hyderabad and Bangalore follow the same national IBJA base rate shown above; jewellers there add their own making charges and GST on top, same as everywhere else in India.
The IBJA base gold rate shown on this page applies nationwide, including Pune, Nagpur, Indore, Mysore, Jalandhar, Nashik and Ambala. Local jewellers in each of these cities add their own making charges and GST on top of this base rate.
Market Rate
This page tracks the IBJA retail gold rate (per gram, by purity), which is the benchmark most Indian jewellers use — it is not the MCX futures price, which trades in 10-gram lots and can differ slightly due to futures premiums and currency movements.
Rates are sourced live from IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association), the industry benchmark used by jewellers across India, and refreshed automatically every 5 minutes.
